What is the difference between the EC stack and the ECA Stack?

The EC stack utilizes ephedrine and caffeine. The ECA stack also includes aspirin into the mix. I recommend using the EC stack without the aspirin because aspirin in large doses has a lot of side effects. In my experience the addition of aspirin does not enhance the overall effectiveness of the stack.

I also recommend that you use a protein supplement. This will help fill you up (without eating a ton of calories) and most people are lacking protein in their diet anyway. Supplementing with protein will also help retain muscle mass while on the EC stack, because you want to burn fat, not muscle. Also, you absolutely need an omega 3 supplement (EFA supplement). Most people take fish oil pills to get their omega 3 however I DO not recommend this. EC Stack DOSING:

Day 1 (Test day) – This day you would just take 1 dose to find out if you are sensitive to ephedrine. Try a single serving of ephedrine (8mg) and 200mg of caffeine and make not of the effects.

Day 2-3 – Take 3 separate doses of 8 milligrams of ephedrine and 100 milligrams of caffeine. separate these doses in a minimum of 4 hour intervals. In my experience I do not take a dose within 5 hours of going to sleep because sometimes I have trouble getting to sleep.

Day 4-7 – 24 milligrams of Ephedrine, and 100 milligrams of caffeine – 8 milligrams of ephedrine, 100 milligrams of caffeine – 8 milligrams of ephedrine, 100 milligrams of caffeine.

Day 8-14 – 24 milligrams of ephedrine + 200 milligrams of caffeine – 24 milligrams of ephedrine + 200 milligrams of caffeine – 16 milligrams of ephedrine + 100 milligrams of caffeine

Day 15+  – 24 milligrams of ephedrine and 200 milligrams of caffeine, three times per day

I also include 250mg of Raz-K (1 Capsule), 3 times daily.

Take note of any effects, If you have any major side effects then stop using the EC stack immediately. Take at least a few weeks off before running another EC cycle. Follow the directions on the label for your krill oil and protein supplements (see other highly recommended supplements section).

Background on the EC Stack:

The EC stack is a term used to represent ephedrine and caffeine used as a fat loss stack. It is suggested to avoid the EC stack if you are under 18 or if you have any medical conditions. Always consult a physician before using the EC stack or any supplement stack.

While using the EC stack it is recommended to consume Omega 3 pills as well. Monitor blood pressure often and do not take over the recommended dose of Fish Oils/Omega 3. Often times people substitute their morning caffeine dose with a large cup of coffee.

The EC stack has been shown in mulitple clinical trials (length up to 24 weeks) to increase metabolic rate (calories burned at rest). The great thing about the EC stack is that it has been shown to maintain lean body mass during a “cut”.

The EC stack lasts for 6-8 week cycles, and dosages are taken 2-3 times per day, spaced out and not before bed. Using the EC stack over an extended period of time may cause the stimulant-like effects to dissipate. Do not worry about this, it is suggested by the clinical trials that the fat burning effects and LBM (lean body mass) maintaining effects will continue.

EC Stack Dosing:

Day 1 – This day you would just take 1 dose to test whether you are sensitive to ephedrine. Consume 200mg of caffeine and 8mg of ephedrine just once and note any effects.

Day 2-3 – 3 doses of 8mg ephedrine and 100mg of caffeine with a minimum  of 4 hours apart. Do not use within 6 hours of bedtime because you won’t sleep!

Day 4-7 – 24mg Ephedrine, 100mg of caffeine – 8mg of ephedrine, 100mg of caffeine – 8mg of ephedrine, 100mg of caffeine

Day 8-14 – 24 mg eph + 200mg of caffeine – 24mg eph + 200mg of caffeine – 16mg eph + 100mg caffeine

Day 15+  – 24mg of eph and 200mg of caffeine three times per day

Take note of any effects. If you have any major side effects then cease use immediately. If you are having trouble sleeping then take your last dose earlier in the day and perhaps try a ZMA supplement.

Extra Information on the EC Stack:

Important – Do not take other products that contain caffeine. Drink more water than you normally would since caffeine is a diuretic.

Important – After  around 4 weeks you will not notice the stimulant effect as much however the fat burning effects are still working. It is up to you whether you want to cycle off or not. Some may take a brief rest period before continuing with the stack.

Not on Appetite suppresion - Eating very small meals many times throughout the day will help combat the appetite suppression. Be sure you do not drop your calories too much.

Note 5 – Do not mix an asthma inhaler with an EC stack.

Note 6 - Do not use the EC stack if you are in hot temperatures often.

Discontinue use if you experience: irregular heart beat, skipped heart beats, high blood pressure, panic, dizziness, agitation, etc. Consult a medical professional prior to use!

How Do I Dose The ECY Stack:

Most people will work their way up to 24mg of ephedrine hcl, 200 mg of caffeine, and 5mg of yohimbine, 2-3 times daily. Honestly this stack is super effective without the yohimbine.

Do not consume the ECY stack within 6 hours of going to bed, because chances are you will not sleep!

Any tips of caution?

Avoid taking any more than 0.2mg/kg of bodyweight of yohimbine hcl in a 24 hour period. Always watch out for side effects – discontinue use if you experience any side effects (high blood pressure, heart palptitations, etc – do not use if you have a medical condition or are taking medication).

Do not exceed any more than 75mg of ephedrine in a 24 hour period.

Conclusion

This is very basic information. Adding yohimbine is not recommended because the stack is amazing without it – stick to the EC stack. If you do choose to add in yohimbine, start off conservative – Actually, be sure to start off slow and work your way up whether you are using the EC, ECA, or ECY stack.
